Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Matthew Richtel and award-winning filmmaker Christian Taylor will join in a focused discussion on the importance of student leadership training through the lens of D-Day. Drawing on history, storytelling, and lived human experience, they will explore why the leadership lessons of June 6, 1944-preparation, courage, teamwork, and responsibility under pressure-remain deeply relevant for young people today. The conversation will highlight why remembering D-Day is not about the past alone, but about equipping the next generation with enduring principles to lead with character in moments that truly matter.

3rd Annual American Thanksgiving in Sainte Mere Eglise. We are a big family of wonderful people.

This is a concert Masa and Jake have done for many charities over many years, and now we’re so lucky to have CSO Principal Flute Brook Ferguson with us and to bring it home for a wonderful Italian dinner at the beautifully decorated 3 Sons Italian in Arvada and concert on December 7th to help raise money for DLA.

These two keep us running in Normandy. Getting ready for their full day of tours, Thomas and Flavie are our caretakers and some of our dearest friends. When you come to visit us, you will be blessed by their attention and care. Ask us about adult and corporate programming!

Today, we remember and share gratitude for the men and women who helped to free a continent and save the world. Their courage and sacrifice 81 years ago remind us of the cost of freedom—and why it is so vital that we pass these lessons and stories on to the next generation.

Chloe, our lovely French student that joined us for the Columbine High School program this week, has some unique thoughts on what it’s like to pay tribute to the men buried at the American Cemetery in Normandy.

We had an amazing first day with our group from Columbine High School! A walking tour of Sainte-Mère-Église and visits to Utah Beach, Batterie d’Azeville, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, and Angoville Au Plain Church helped to kickstart conversations and reflection about D-Day: sacrifice, leadership, and the young men and women who saved the world in 1944.

Today the students from #arrupejesuithighschool had the honor of cleaning crosses at the American Cemetery above Omaha Beach. It’s an intense and solemn experience for these great kids. Thanks to the ABMC for making it happen.

After a day touring Utah Beach and the American western sector, students from #arrupejesuithighschool make crepes for dessert tonight.

These amazing young leaders from Florida and Colorado are watching Saving Private Ryan ahead of their visit to the Normandy American Cemetery tomorrow. They’ll also see Pointe du Hoc and have a 4th of July they will remember forever. Lots of gratitude around here.

Today’s leadership element was CHAOS. We discussed how it affects our lives today and also how it enveloped the men who invaded Normandy on June 6, 1944. Our first all-ladies group is awesome!
